Sustainability

It is close to our hearts as St. Klara Kindergarten to teach the children a responsible and mindful approach to our world. For us, it is very important to teach them to treat people, animals and nature with respect on their way to adulthood.

Through various offers in our daycare center, we want to support the children in growing up to be responsible, reflective and informed people.

Through various offerings in our daily kindergarten routine, we want to support the children in growing into responsible, reflective and informed people. Two examples make this clear:

Improvement of waste separation:

• Visualization of waste material and the corresponding labeling.
• Conscious and appreciative handling of consumption
• Repairing games under the motto: "repair instead of sorting out".
• Acceptance of donations in kind of any kind, e.g. paper, first aid kits for role-playing games, play materials and books.

Strengthening the children's ecological awareness of the environment:

• Designing a bee hotel to protect and propagate insects.
• Creation of a children's garbage police for the nearby forest, playground and surrounding area
• Raising awareness for the different habitats of animals and plants
• Creation of herb and flower beds
• to take responsibility for ecological cycles and processes.
